Testers Needed for “Also Purchased” Script
I have a new feature ready that I’d like to get some feedback on, so I’m requesting testers and your input.
The feature is an “Also Purchased” function, which may be delivered in script form that you could integrate within your store. The idea is to show your visitors what other products may be related to the one they just purchased or are considering purchasing. You can see this functionality at Amazon.com, for example, when you are looking at an item. By suggesting related products, you should increase your sales.
The feature may be released in a script form, but I’m somewhat uncertain on how it would best integrate with your sales process. Currently my idea is that you’d add the script to a prim, and set the prim’s description line to the name of a product. On Touch, the prim would contact the web site and return a list of up to 5 products, sorted by sales count, that were also purchased by people who bought that particular product. The script only returns products associated with your account and by selectively deploying the script, you can control what data is reported.
